Getting Pregnant: Natural Infertility Treatments for Success

It’s possible to treat underlying causes of infertility naturally, making getting pregnant a reality!

If you’re a couple or female who has a strong desire to become pregnant and you’re finding it more difficult than expected, you’re not alone. Several individuals struggle with getting pregnant each year. Fortunately, many eventually find the right fertility specialist who can help them fulfill their dreams of becoming parents. And sometimes, they become pregnant by alternative methods vs. traditional methods, like IVF, that didn’t work for them.

At Roman’s Wellness Center, we offer natural infertility treatments that have led to an 80 to 90 percent success rate for those we treat. Many have tried getting pregnant for years without success, and within a year, they find themselves pregnant.

In this post, we discuss infertility in more detail, including what causes it and the natural treatments Stacy Roman, Founder of Roman’s Wellness Center, has found to work for those she treats.

Getting pregnant: What defines infertility?

It’s understood that infertility equate to having a challenging time getting pregnant, but what are the medical requirements for infertility? Medically speaking, infertility is defined as not becoming pregnant after 12 months of consistent unprotected sex. Infertility can equally affect both women and men.

Getting pregnant: How many individuals face infertility?

Infertility is more common than you might think, and the numbers are worsening vs. improving. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), it’s estimated that 13.4 percent of women (9.7 million) between 15 and 49 years of age had impaired fertility, and 8.5 percent (2.4 million) of married women between the same age range struggled to become pregnant after a year of trying between the years of 2015 and 2019. It’s estimated that 1 in 6 people (6.7 million) are impacted by infertility worldwide.

Getting pregnant: What are the root causes of infertility?

Infertility can be the result of several factors, including health challenges, age, and even treatments or medications taken to treat certain health conditions. Structural issues a female might face include endometriosis and fallopian tubes that are blocked. Pelvic inflammatory disease and thyroid issues can also impact a female’s ability to become pregnant. For men, testicular conditions and low sperm count can affect fertility. Additional factors that can impact fertility include cancer treatments, smoking, environmental toxins, substance and alcohol use, and radiation therapy.

And though we don’t necessarily think of stress as a health challenge, the research is clear that stress impacts our health, and according to Stacy, it has a significant impact on one’s ability to conceive.

“A thyroid imbalance and stress are the top two causes of infertility that we see in our clinic,” shares Stacy, “Of course, we also always look for hormones and structural imbalance in both the male and female, which can impact one’s ability to become pregnant.”

Getting pregnant: What natural treatments for infertility are available?

According to Stacy, there are several alternative treatments to increase fertility and help people become pregnant. The specific treatment protocol recommended varies depending on the source of the infertility.

For thyroid challenges, treatments include:

  • Halo Light Therapy
  • Acupuncture Treatment
  • Detox Foot Bath

For hormone balancing, treatments include:

  • Hormone Testing
  • Supplements
  • Acupuncture Treatment

For stress reduction, treatments include:

  • Stomach Massage for Infertility
  • Salt Room Therapy
  • Homeopathy
  • Acupuncture Treatment

For sperm morphology and motility, treatments include

  • Herbal supplements

Hormone Testing

Hormone balance is a critical factor in terms of getting pregnant. Hormone lab work is used as a female fertility test that provides a baseline for the current state of a female’s hormones. The results provide a roadmap of what steps need to be taken to balance any hormones that are out of balance and preventing pregnancy.

Halo Light Therapy

The Halo Light treats infertility by reducing stress in the body, as well as supporting the thyroid and other factors that could be impacting your ability to become pregnant, like inflammation. Halo Light Therapy works by introducing herbal and botanical information into your cells that support healing.

Acupuncture Treatment

Acupuncture treatments address several underlying causes of infertility, including hormone regulation and stress. Acupuncture also helps to increase blood flow to the reproductive organs and enhance sperm and egg quality to improve one’s ability to conceive. During an acupuncture treatment, tiny needles are gently used in specific points of the body based on the underlying issue being treated.

Detox Foot Bath

A foot bath is one of the most effective ways to quickly detox and remove toxins from the body. Heavy metals impact the thyroid, throwing thyroid hormones out of balance, which can, in turn, decrease one’s ability to become pregnant. A foot bath helps to remove heavy metals from the body, which then helps to balance thyroid hormones and improve one’s chances of pregnancy.

Herbs, Supplements, and Homeopathy

Certain supplements and homeopathics can help to reduce stress, which improves the body’s ability to conceive. Additionally, supplements and herbs can help to balance hormones necessary for conception to occur. Herbal supplements are also proven to help with male fertility by supporting sperm morphology and motility.

Salt Room Therapy

Salt room therapy involves sitting or lying in a relaxing room while breathing in salt particles. These salt particles help to improve health in several ways, including boosting the immune system, relieving respiratory issues, and improving skin conditions. It also helps to reduce and alleviate stress, increasing one’s ability to relax. As previously noted, stress reduction enhances a person’s chances of getting pregnant.

Stomach Massage

A fertility massage, also referred to as a stomach massage for infertility, improves reproductive health in several ways. The fertility massage helps to:

  • Balance hormones
  • Release tension
  • Realign internal organs
  • Improve blood flow

Getting pregnant: What are average results at Roman’s Wellness Center?

Once you’re able to address the underlying issues of infertility, your chances of pregnancy can exponentially increase. At Roman’s, we see an average success rate of 80 to 90 percent for those we treat seeking to become pregnant.

Stacy points out that it can take three months to a year for conception to occur once treatment begins. “The time it takes to become pregnant truly depends on what the root cause is and whether the female’s cycle is regular,” shares Stacy, “If the patient has PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), it may take longer because we need to get the body to ovulate.”
