Advanced Allergy Therapeutics (AAT) offers a unique and highly effective approach to treating the many symptoms associated with allergies and sensitivities. AAT is a precision-based therapy that treats the organ systems involved in an overreaction. AAT does not treat the immune system; instead, the therapy focuses on inappropriate reactions to harmless substances in relation to the organ systems, producing rapid, long-term relief of associated symptoms.
AAT merges 21st-century science with 3,000-year-old traditional acupuncture and modern chiropractic principles, offering an effective alternative for the treatment of symptoms associated with allergies and sensitivities.
How soon will I see results?
Symptoms associated with a single substance are often improved or relieved after just 24 hours. Many conditions, such as sinusitis or irritable bowel syndrome, respond within the first few treatments. However, each case is unique and may require additional treatments. As with all healthcare modalities, some cases may not respond to treatment.
What are the most common symptoms addressed with AAT?
The most common symptoms addressed with AAT are:
*NOTE: This is a partial list of the items that can be addressed with AAT.
Can AAT Help with Seasonal Allergy Symptoms?
Yes! AAT gets excellent results with seasonal symptoms. Symptoms associated with allergies can manifest during different seasons, depending on the specific type of pollen to which an individual reacts and the time of year.
Can AAT Help with Chronic Sinusitis?
Yes, AAT can achieve excellent results in treating chronic sinusitis. Allergies often contribute to persistent inflammation of the sinuses and mucus lining, increasing susceptibility to sinus issues and chronic sinusitis.
Common Triggers Include: Dust, molds, fungus, pets, fragrances, and environmental allergens.
Can AAT Help with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)?
Yes, AAT has excellent results in treating IBS. Hidden food allergies and sensitivities often play a significant role in the development and exacerbation of IBS. The primary medical treatment typically involves dietary modification and avoiding offending foods, which can be very challenging, and many people continue to suffer from symptoms. AAT directly addresses these symptoms.
IBS is one of the most seen conditions by medical doctors, and effective treatments are very limited. AAT consistently provides excellent results in resolving IBS.
Common Triggers Include: Dairy, wheat, sugar, yeast, salicylates, corn, soy, and various food components.
Can AAT Help with Asthma?
AAT can effectively treat many irritants contributing to asthmatic symptoms. Allergy-induced asthma symptoms are very common and respond well to AAT treatments.
Common Triggers Include: Molds, dust, dust mites, pet dander, grass, pollens, fragrances, and chemicals.
However, exercise-induced asthma is difficult to treat with AAT as it does not stem from an error.
Can AAT Help with Eczema or Skin Conditions?
Yes! AAT can be highly effective for many skin conditions and symptoms arising from allergies and sensitivities. If sensitivities are contributing to the condition, AAT can provide significant relief. However, in more severe cases, other factors may be involved, resulting in only partial improvement. Skin conditions that have shown improvement with AAT include urticaria (hives), eczema, contact dermatitis, and atopic dermatitis.
Common Triggers for Skin Symptoms: Foods, nickel, pet dander, fragrances, grass, and chemicals in personal care products.
Can AAT Help with Acid Reflux Symptoms?
Yes, AAT can achieve excellent results in alleviating acid reflux symptoms. Acid reflux can occur at any time but is often experienced after a meal. Medications for acid reflux are among the top sellers, alongside allergy medications. With so many cases, AAT can effectively address the underlying triggers.
Common Triggers Include: Spicy foods, onions, citrus, tomatoes, fatty or fried foods, alcohol, and carbonated beverages.
Can AAT Help with Food Sensitivity Symptoms?
Absolutely! AAT achieves excellent results in alleviating the various symptoms caused by food sensitivities. These sensitivities are widespread and can contribute to a broad spectrum of issues, including digestive, respiratory, skin, headaches, behavioral problems, and inflammation.
Common Triggers for Food Sensitivities include: Dairy, sugar, wheat, soy, corn, nuts, food components, food additives, alcohol, and coffee.
How many AAT treatments are Required?
AAT treats one allergen family at a time, so the number of treatments depends on the number of allergen families involved in the reaction. However, within each allergen family, the specificity is identified down to the protein molecule, making each treatment extremely comprehensive.
For instance, an allergen family could be something like dust, dairy, or grasses. Within each of these allergen families, we strive to identify all the components within the item that is causing a reaction, resulting in an exceptional and results-driven treatment.
Most of the time, a single allergen family will respond to treatment within a single visit, but it may require multiple visits per family. Conditions such as chronic sinusitis or IBS typically require between 5 and 12 treatments, depending on how many allergen families are contributing to the condition.
Is there an age restriction for the AAT treatments?
No. All ages may be treated, including infants.
How long do I have to wait before having contact with the item that was treated in my session?
Following a session, a patient should avoid the substance that was treated for 2 hours, if possible. Depending on the item addressed, avoidance is not always possible. It is recommended that the patient not have excessive contact with the item until the following day.
Can more than one treatment be administered in any given day?
Yes, up to four AAT treatments can be administered per day. This provides practitioners with the flexibility of offering more treatment options and allows patients to decide the pace at which they wish to proceed with the AAT treatments. The decision is in their hands, depending on the speed of results they desire and their budget.
How long are the AAT sessions?
The Initial Session typically takes approximately 40 to 60 minutes and includes an assessment and one treatment. Follow-Up Sessions typically take 20 to 30 minutes and include one treatment. The time chosen for a treatment depends on if the office has a front desk person to check the patient out after the treatment is complete.
Important Pre-Appointment Guidelines:
Roman’s Wellness Center DOES NOT treat anaphylaxis or any life-threatening symptoms. Strict avoidance is always advised.
Do I need to stop taking any of my medications before the treatment?
No, patients do not need to stop taking medication that has been prescribed by a medical doctor without his/her authorization. You may continue taking over the counter medication to control current symptoms, as this will not affect the treatment.
Are any traditional medical allergy tests offered in the clinic?
We do not offer any conventional allergy testing; however, patients are encouraged to bring in allergy tests from their physicians.
Is general allergy testing required before an AAT treatment?
No, AAT does not require traditional allergy testing before treatment. However, if you have had any allergy testing done by your doctor, please bring the test results to your appointment.
How does AAT identify and test items for treatment?
AAT utilizes a specialized Stress Assessment, a refined form of Muscle Response Testing (MRT), to determine if any system in the body is responding inappropriately to a specific substance. This assessment quickly and easily identifies which items are causing stress on the body, allowing practitioners to determine what needs to be addressed for the patient.
How long will the treatment results last?
AAT patients have consistently reported long-term results lasting for years after treatment. However, AAT cannot guarantee that new allergies or sensitivities won’t develop in the future. In most cases, the results have proven to be long-lasting.
Are there any guarantees that my symptoms will be relieved?
While we cannot offer guarantees, most of our patients experience long-term positive responses to AAT treatment. However, we cannot guarantee that new symptoms will not develop in the future.
What qualifications do the practitioners have?
All practitioners at Roman’s Wellness Center are fully credentialed health care practitioners.
Can a food intolerance be treated?
No, food intolerances cannot be treated with AAT. Unlike allergies or sensitivities, food intolerances are often caused by an enzyme deficiency that prevents proper digestion of certain substances. Such cases are not addressed by the treatment.
Can AAT treat for anaphylactic symptoms?
No, we do not treat conditions involving anaphylactic reactions. However, patients who experience anaphylactic reactions can be treated for other non-life-threatening sensitivities.
